What percentage of NBA games are won by 1 pt?

calculator on another forum says if the line is 1 then the odds of landing on 1 are 2.27% and landing on 2 is 4.03%

According to sportsdatabase.com, there were 772 games settled by 1 point in the NBA during calendar years 2009 and 2010. There were a total of 18,616 played during that time.

That would leave 772 / 18,616 = 4.15%

There were 1,119 games settled by 2 points during that time.

1,119 / 18,616 = 6.01%

there are nowhere near 9,000 NBA games a year.

There are 82 games and I think 30 teams, that would be about 15 X 82 as the number of games in the regular season.

I don't buy 4% of games landing on 1 point either. 1 is a rare MOV in the NBA.

yea. 41 home games * 30 teams = 1,230. There are 1,230 regular season NBA games.
