Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - There's been another round of layoffs at Binion's Casino.
Representatives for the hotel say ten full-time workers have been let go from the valet lot.
Although it's now closed, guests can still self-park for free with validation from the casino.
These layoffs come almost one year after the gambling hall laid off about 100 workers from a coffee bar and the Keno operation.

Binions isn't a major employer like a Boeing in Seattle. It sucks if your job was as a valet at Binions.

I guess $25 rooms don't work so well ?

Guest Rooms are no longer available.

To our valued guests, our casino is still open for business.

Reservations are available at the Four Queens.

Doug...Of course it sucks to lose any job and be laid off, especially this time of year...But this goes on every day, companies of 50 to 1000's, news I think not.

The job probably started to suck a long time ago anyways...as in the valets were not making the tips they used to earn. I agree ten guys getting laid off is no huge news, it does reflect on the current conditions in LV, though !

The handwriting was on the wall when they closed the hotel a year ago or so. I doubt these ten guys find another job parking cars....I'd have started looking for another gig long ago personally. Binions ain't a top shelf place ( anymore). You'd have to sense that your job as a car parker was iffy when they closed the hotel operations....if you have a brain.

sounds like that reporter is being paid by the other casinos in town to make binions looks bad.

what's the next headline?

"Casino player loses money at Binion's"

"Binion's Drops Samual Adams light beer from menu"

I never realized Binion's had so many employees. Sucks to be laid off, Hopefully trimming down the employees doesn't stress those still on staff.
