Las Vegas police were searching Sunday for a missing dancer and former NFL cheerleader who was last seen leaving her home a week ago.

Debora "Debbie" Flores Narvaez, 31, a cast member of the "Fantasy" show at the Luxor Las Vegas hotel and casino and a former Washington Redskins cheerleader, disappeared after leaving her Las Vegas home at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 12.

Investigators reportedly found her car, a maroon 1997 four-door Chevrolet Prism with Maryland license plates, parked in the city's northeast section last week.
Flores Narvaez, who was born in Puerto Rico and lived with her family in Baltimore, Md., relocated to Las Vegas two years ago to pursue a dancing career. An accomplished performer, Flores Narvaez also holds a law degree, according to her MySpace page.

"She is so kindhearted," Asia Bosley, a family friend, said in a Sunday interview with FOXNews.com. "She would give the shirt off her back for anybody."
"She was dedicated to dancing," friend Leo Castro added. "If she's a friend to you, she'll be a friend forever."

Flores Narvaez is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Las Vegas Police Department.

From her FB Page.

I earned 3 degrees in college: Bachelor of Science degree in international Business, a Master's degree in Finance and went to Law School and earned my Juris Doctorate degree in Criminal Law. I was born and raised in the beautiful islands of Puerto Rico and lived in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington D.C. for 12 years.

It sounds like she would need a "sheriff's card" to work at the Luxor. I'd think you'd need a nevada DL to get that ?

Then wouldn't your car insurance company want to know why you have a NV DL while your car is registered elsewhere ?

Was she driving an uninsured/ unregistered old beater ? Sounds like a real upstanding citizen !

Sheriffs Card -
Necessity for Gaming Employment (Work Cards)
Since 1947, to work on the premises where liquor and gaming are present a person must obtain a Sheriff's Card, (Work Card). It is mandatory in the State of Nevada regardless of what your position is in a gaming establishment. The purpose of the work card is to document, investigate and license all employees of the gaming and liquor industry.
To apply for a work card, applicants must:
1. Be 21 years of age if employed in a gaming position or dispense alcoholic beverages.
2. Show birth certificate if under the age of 25 years.
3. Present proper documentation from Immigration and Naturalization Services if a non citizen.
4. Pay the appropriate fees.
5. Have signed referral slip from your prospective employer.
6. Have a juvenile work permit if under the age of 18 years.

Certain conditions may cause Applicants to be denied or revoked:
1. An outstanding warrant of arrest.
2. Extensive criminal history
3. Previous work card revoked by the Gaming Control Board.
4. Insufficient immigration documentation.
5. No birth certificate if applying for a gaming position or a position that dispenses alcoholic beverages.
6. Falsification of information on the referral slip.
7. Any other denial reason(s) so stated under Nevada Revised Statutes.

Work cards are presently valid for 5 years and can be used for any establishment where there is liquor or gaming on the premises and the expiration date of the work card has not expired.

Work card processing includes interviewing, fingerprinting and photographing. Work Card is similar in size to a driver's license and is issued the same day as applied for provided there are no complications during the process.
The LVMPD issues work cards at two locations:
Las Vegas office
5880 Cameron St.
For general information, call 702-828-3271.
Laughlin office
101 Civic Way
For general information, call 702-298-4282.
Work cards currently are issued from 8a to 4p Monday-Friday and closed all federally recognized holidays.
Effective January 1, 2004, gaming work cards are no longer issued by Las Vegas Metro Police Department. Gaming employees must be registered with the Gaming Control Board. Registration packets may be obtained from Human Resource offices at place of employment.
Security guards are required to get a card through the Private Investigators Licensing board of the State of Nevada. Work cards for child care, erotic establishments, senior housing and various other positions are still required. As of this date, prices are:

In Nevada when u go to get new plates you have to pay a tax/fee that i believe is the same as the Sales Tax rate when u originally bought the car......and you have to pay this everytime u get new plates. So most people try to get away with not buying the plates... They even run commercials and billboards asking residents to turn in their neighbors who do not have them transferred.....My daughter just had to buy new plates for her husbands truck even though hes in Kuwait and the truck is parked because somebody turned it in....id have to ask her how much it was but i think she said over $800....

yep - much cheaper. I lived in FL for 3 years and had my IL plates the entire time and also kept my IL insurance. I did have a FL driver's license. I haven't lived in FL for almost 3 years now and just last week finally went and got a new IL driver's license.

Is that really wrong, though ?

I assume you are driving on Canadian plates still ?

I drove on expired Ct plates with no insurance in Ca from like 1982-1984, even frequently going to Mexico . I'm no saint...or rat !

I can see tax-paying Nevadans getting fed up with it and turning Rat. Here in CT, they tax cars as general property ( like a house) so a 20k car might carry a $500 annual property tax or so. Some here try to register cars in Maine to evade that. I'd never rat somebody out for it, but Maine plates aren't too cool in Ct !

Out of area plates in LV don't arouse great suspicion unless the car becomes a fixture. Lots of Ct people live here and in Fla., no huge deal running Fla. plates here half the year. Maine isn't tolerated as well.

Getting back to this dancer girl....

Wouldn't she make 50k+++ as a Showgirl ? That's decent money in LV. I don't think she's smoking HOT, but she certainly should be able to dance at an elite club for 100k+++ easily with her resume. She should be rolling in dough, really !

Something ain't right in this case !

I'll bet she's a coke whore type and wronged some bad people. She should make enough a year to buy a NICE house equal to her salary....like make 150k easy and buy a 150k home....then when she gets old and her looks fade....she has all kinds of degrees.

Something is WAY wrong here !

Savant: Aren't you sort of the one that's breaking US law here ?

Let's say I owned a place in Tampa but I spent 9 months a year in Toronto ( or any other place in your country) and returned to Tampa for Dec- Feb. So I'm spending 75% of time there and 25% here, possibly violating some laws.

Isn't that about your one-year plan ?

Would my neighbors in Toronto ( 9 months of the year) grow tired of my Florida plates ?

Methinks they might if Ontario plates are costly. I have no idea what it costs to register/ insure a car anywhere in Canada, BTW.

This isn't about you, or breaking laws. I'm a rebel at heart. I'd never snitch on my worst enemy.

This about that PR HO that did somebody wrong.

Do NFL cheerleaders make big bucks ?

I'm guessing NO, but it might lead to better things like Playboy or showgirl or something ?

I doubt it is like a 100k job....I could be wrong.

from ehow.. But I rmemeber hearing on the radio about $100 a game when I was in Charlotte

Per Game Basis

NFL cheerleaders are generally paid about $50 to $75 per game. Some cheerleaders are paid monthly salaries ranging from $200 to $1,000. These salaries are usually given to elite cheerleaders who have been with the same team for a while or have extensive cheerleading experience. Yearly Total

After two preseason games and eight regular-season games, most cheerleaders earn about $500 to $750 per season, depending on what teams they cheer for and whether that team plays any additional home games in the playoffs. Paid Appearances

If the cheerleading squad coordinator approves, an NFL cheerleader can make extra money by participating in paid public appearances. These are outside the usual non-paid public appearances that NFL cheerleaders must participate in throughout the year.
