I'll regift clothes if they don't fit and I don't take the tags off. I'd rather give it to someone who will wear it than return it.

I think we actually re-gifted wedding / shower gifts back in the 80's

lots of similar products that were never opened

as for wines, I don't know if a bottle I might bring to a party is a gift or if I bought it, they're all racked together

My wife thinks she was the victim of a regifted book.
My wife got regifted some cloth napkins she had given the year before. I think regifting is tacky. If you don't want a gift and can't get a refund, then toss it or give it to charity. We wouldn't have a regifting problem if all gifts stopped after age 12. My favorite holidays are New Years and St. Patrick's Day, you're supposed to get drunk and don't have to give anybody anything...

If I get something that I have zero interest it, I'll first scan through my mind to see if I know of anyone who might have a use for it. If they do, cool. If .they don't appreciate it more than I do, it just goes in their trash instead of mine. Can't see how there is any harm in that

If anyone here gets something they don't want at all, give it to me because maybe it will be to my benefit. And if it isn't, it won't really cost me anything other than the effort of lifting the lid off the trash can
