When do you shut down the gift giving to niece's and nephews ?

What age ?

I have a total of 5. Ages : 22 , 20 , 18 , 15, 5

I have been breaking off a $ 50 every year . I think I'm done with all except the 15 and 5 year old. 18 will be my cut off .

How have you handled it , assuming you even started giving them anything ?

just give them a $50 but tell them it has a 5X rollover and max cash out of $150....

they will hand the $50 back to ya!

thats not even in play.. i dont know of anyone who would feel like they need ( or would want to ) give something to a niece's child .. maybe a gift at birth ..

I don't think there's any real answer to it, I think it's really a personal decision. I'm sure the older ones would understand, especially if you gave them a card with nothing in it.

I stopped with some at age 18-21 ( have 9 ) one is also my Godchild so I'm still giving her Presents or Money.

Nieces and nephews!!!! Hell i quit buying for my own kids once they ...well i guess once i went broke. They didnt really do anything....lol

I have three nieces; 19, 16, 14. I still give them each $100 for Christmas & Birthdays....and probably will until at least they are 30 or so....or land a high paying job.
