very hard and chances are you will fail. I retired in July after being downsized and I do make a little extra from gambling but to do it full time is almost impossible. Don't even think about it if you are a young man. Go to college and make something of yourself.

A guy i knew took $60K and turned it into 1.8M in a year and half, but this guy would fire on games. Most don't have the stones he had.

But let's say you work during the day, why can't you do both?

reminds me of when me and my girlfriend were fighting about my importing / exporting job. i wanted to just concentrate on the importing , but she keep saying " why cant you do both "

it was causing all kinds of problems in our relationship.

I was an importer/exporter back in the day, too. Imported tooth picks and exported chips.

GEORGE: (after a moment's thought) Art Vandelay.

ELAINE: (incredulity) Art Vandelay? This is my boyfriend?

GEORGE: That's your boyfriend.

ELAINE: What does he do?

GEORGE: He's an importer.

ELAINE: Just imports? No exports?

GEORGE: (getting irritated) He's an importer-exporter. Okay?

ELAINE: Okay. So, I'm dating Art Vandelay. What is the problem we're discussing?

GEORGE: (thoughtful) Yes. Yes.

ELAINE: (sighs) Yi-yi-yi.

Elaine and George go into another bout of deep thought.

ELAINE: Ah! (explaining, with hand gestures) How 'bout this? How about, he's
thinking of quitting the exporting, and just focussing in on the importing. And
this is causing a problem, because, why not do both?

I love the introduction of Art Vandalay back in season 2.

It's during the stake-out at the law firm of Vanessa (yes I'm a Seinfeld freak)

Jerry: What do we say we're doing in the building?
George: You came to see me. I work in the building.
Jerry: You work in the building? What do you do?
George: I'm an architect!
Jerry: You're an architect?
George: I'm not?
Jerry: I don't see architecture coming from you.
George: Ok...we're meeting a friend who works in the buidling.
Jerry: What does he do?
George: He's an importer.
Jerry: JUST an importer?
George: He's an importer/exporter.
Jerry: What's his name?
George: Art. Art Core...
Jerry: Art Core.
George: Valay.
Jerry: Corevalay?
(Vanessa exits the elevator)
George: I forgot who I am. Who am I?
Jerry: You're you. We're meeting Art Corevalay.
George: Vandalay! Let me be the architect. I can do it!

ALL from memory, jesus that's sad, haha

Lost my job 4.5 years ago. Been gambling ever since. While I am making money, it is not enough. I have to step it up, or find a job in the next 6 months.

FWIW, I think I have become a more patient gambler.
