i think their offense gonna take a bigger hit than people think. doubt they will win many more games in the regular season but that staff is extremely intimidating in a five or seven game set. that said the giants had no problems getting to either halladay or lee, so it can be done, especially after a long year.

I honestly think my Phils we need to limit how deep our starters go on a consistent basis. Lee & Halladay, especially, want to go 9 innings every freaking game. If our top 4 each log 220+ IP we could be in trouble late or in the playoffs. Though it didn't stop Halladay, my man threw a no-hitter in the playoffs, lol.

Should be, to say the least, a VERY interesting season as a Phillies fan.

ehhhhhhh i dont know.. i mean on paper their pitching looks great, but what if hamels comes up with one of his off years.. oswalt halladay and lee is unfair but they can be beaten, they win the NL east every year anyway so its all about the playoffs, what can they do in the playoffs? as a yankees fan i am not worried about phils in the WS if it comes to that.. yankees have had very very good success off halladay, have hit oswalt and hamels majority of the times they faced them. lee they never hit but they do well against the other 3.. and who in the phils bullpen is dominant? lidge? madson? dont scare me in the playoffs

I agree its hard to say espically with that offense just look at last year between halliday and hamels losses I know cole lost 5 games where philly didn't score a run 2-0...1-0 (Twice)...3-0 and a 3-0 loss in the post season and hallidays run support was less than 3 per win so now with werth gone and a huge ? in the outfield and an injury riddled middle infield I wouldnt be raising any championship flags just yet
