That is what I did today. To win, you have to beat all 3 of the qualifies. IE, 35 minutes, 19.2 miles, 725 calories.

Dante might get me. That guy loves the gym.

Anyway, figured I'd see if anyone could beat it in the next calendar year. Something to shoot for. Don't fling sweat on the girl on the bike next to you like I was doing.

nah.. you win man.. but that burn does seem low... I usually get on the oliptical for 35 mins burn about 500..biking would be harder

That is a lot of calories. I don't know how accurate the calorie counters are but the most I used to do on the bike was about 7 calories a minute.

Just shy of 32 mph for 36 minutes? That's, uhhh, pretty fast. Anything above 20 mph is considered "very fast" by most standards.

And going just 20 mph, the average calorie burn for a person weighing 190 pounds is 1380 calories. Seems like a very low calorie burn for that ridiculous speed unless you weigh under 100 pounds. Just saying...

what about eat?

close to 30 hotdogs or 20 hamburgers in 10 minutes. That's on pace for over 100 (or over 70) for 36 minutes. Most likely would stop before then. But at least it wouldn't be boring like a bike that didn't go anywhere

He was averaging 32 mph for 36 minutes? I did the math and he average .528 miles per minute. Am I right?

The WORLD RECORD for 5K (3.1 miles) is 12:40 .... so jake ran 19 miles in 36 mins... that means he SHATTERS the WR by about 9 mins

Holy Long John Silver, Batman!!!!! I did not know he was that fast

I generally aim for about 1000 after an hour of the elliptical. The bike definitely counts em quicker because I turn up the resistance and it is easier for me to keep going for whatever reason.

Heck if I know. I started doing 12 miles in 30 minutes and have built up since then. I've always got close to the same calorie count using 3-4 different machines at various gyms though.

I've paid for my damn membership up at your gym for over the last year and have gone twice. I'm still good there. Any good idea for a wager?
