With all due respect, we have talked about this subject numerous times here.
Consensus is who would you rather have? Mantle or Mays?
One could make a case for either QB and not be wrong.

I like how you say "discuss"

It feels like my freshman year in college taking a Sociology test.

How about this one from Econ 101?

How do the effects of subsidies on local goods differ from tariffs on foreign goods? Discuss.

PS: should our answers be in 300 words or less?

Impossible to say...Once they're retired - and that probably won't be for some years. - they can reflect on the rivalry.

But might the quarterback matchup between Manning and Brady, opponents in 12 games over the past decade, be the greatest ever?

"I don't know," Bill Belichick said when asked. "I'll leave that to you experts."

Peyton Manning has accomplished more with less. Noway Brady wins a Superbowl with that Colts team and coach Peyton won with. Noway in hell. Lol.

I've seen more Peyton's Colts game and Patriots games than anybody I know. People don't understand what Peyton worked with and how he carried that team. He gets injured and they can't even win a game.

Brady gets injured and the Patriots train keeps going. Garrapolo? Matt friggin Cassel 11-5? Blind and deaf Brady lovers don't want to learn or listen so I won't bother typing it all over yet again in detail. Can teach those that don't want to learn. Just like the clueless casual sports fans that think Lebron is the GOAT. They just don't understand sports.

Coach Bill is a genius and he puts that team in a position to win time and time again. I know cause he's schemed against the cerebral assassin Peyton many times and he was pure genius as was Peyton a genius on offense the way he'd pick apart even the best defenses.

Coach Bill, add in Gronk, add in the great defenses he's had early in those championships, losing to Foles and Eli twice, Seattle and Falcons giftwrapping wins, Butler saving his ass, Tuck rule, cheating, list goes on and on. Peyton's 1 win with the Colts is more impressive to me because he was a bigger part of that win and season than Brady has ever been.

Brady should be thanking coach Bill for the rest of his life...

Matt Cassel 11-5?! LOL. Matt friggin Cassell!! lol

Ok I won't bother. I know Pats fans will freak out and go tilt and start foaming...

Congrats though to Patriots fans. Nice win and I already have my wager locked in for Pats to win it. They get redemption this season for sure. That line will rise for sure....

Peace.

I don't know about that. But look at it from the other view. Would Manning make 9 SB with the Pats and win 5 or 6? Hell no

Something to keep in mind.

Alot of the people here thought Vince Young, RG3, Jameis Winston and Teddy Bridgewater would be good among others

You don't think so? I disagree but I respect your opinion. Why don't you believe he could do it given coach Bill, Gronk, top ten defense every season but ESPECIALLY coach Bill. You honestly don't think so?

Another factor I think is in play is that many posters that denounce Peyton haven't seen him play much other than the playoffs which really isn't fair. Just the fact that the Colts reached the playoffs was a major accomplishment yet people keep focusing on his losses in the playoffs. Have you seen that Colts team without Peyton? We all saw that. Too lazy to google but they won what? 1 or 2 games? Was it 0? Come on man. That's saying a lot.

Brady goes down and it's business as usual. People don't understand how excellent that Pats system and Coach Bill is. He's better than most understand.

Colts team without Manning means nothing. 1 year later you saw a pretty good QB named Luck win. Before Luck their QB was utter trash. It wasn't that they couldn't win because Manning was so great but lost because the QB was soooo bad. Pats system...blah...blah..blah. Meaningless talk. People don't even know what it means when they say that. They bring up Cassel. So. He was decent and didn't make the playoffs. I suppose the fact that he didn't lose every game means Brady isn't that good. I don't get it
