Wouldn't think it possible, but poker players actually whine more than bookies.

So Helmuth gets a taste of his own medicine. Since when does Helmuth have class?

I've seen Helmuth call a guy an Idiot, and kept calling him one throughout the tourney.

Devilfish has only a couple days to live... from another board:

"I've been in touch with two separate sources close to Ulliott, one a family friend and the other a close business associate, and both have confirmed. From what I understand, Ulliott has colon cancer (maybe more) and indications suggest it is terminal. I do not know how long they have known about the cancer, but I was told his health decline was a quick one. "Only has days left" is how one source put it."

great poker story about devilfish:

"This hand involves devilfish and Michel (a local at the late Aviation Club de France:ACF). It happened a loooong time ago. It takes place in the middle stage of a omaha tourney.

Michel is chip leader and in small blind. Devilfish limps on the button after a few limpers, Michel raises pot. 1 random guy calls as well as devilfish. For the sake of the story, I'll disclose Michel's hand: AKQ8. Flop comes 823 rainbow. Michel pots. Random guy folds, devilfish calls. Turn J opening straight flush draws. Michel bets again: 2/3 of pot. Devilfish calls again. River is an offsuit 6 and Michel bets a bit more than half the pot, bluffing. After tanking for a while, Devilfish goes for his chips, and Michel sees that. When devilfish starts moving his chips, Michel, knowing he's doomed, shouts something like "All in call!!!" and again "I call!". Devilfish looks at him and said, "wow, wait, I havn't said anything yet". Michel utters "you went all in! Dealer, he said all in! didn't he? I want the floor to come down here immediately". And dvlfish: "my chips never crossed the line!". Floor comes, and after everything is explained to him by dealer and a lot of shouting from Michel, floor of course rules in favor of Devilfish, saying it's his turn to play.

Devilfish tanks for a bit more than one min, and then moves all-in for the rest of his chips (not much more than Michel's bet, something like half his bet more). Michel smiles and apologize for his behaviour: "I'm sorry devilfish, it just an act" he says "I can't call you, look". And he mucks his hand face up, showing his sad pair of 8.

Devilfish " Oh that's too bad Michel, look"!!! Devilfishes flashes his hand revealing A high. Michel falls back on his seat, he'll be numb for the next hour. He asks devilfish:"how did you do it?" And devilfish ansers that he has seen Michel play here in ACF for years now, and that he knew that Michel woudn't do such a mistake."

haha. Devilfish is supposed to be well connected in the London underworld, reason why he is pretty much untouchable... His list of enemies is not short. Hellmuth on the other hand, is supposed to be a class act and a really nice guy, I met him once, really nice to me, only thing that taints him is his involvement with the UB/AP debacle. His rants are for show, or so they say.

David “Devilfish” Ulliott -- a British poker player who got famous on "Late Night Poker" -- died Monday following a battle with colon cancer. He was 61.

Ulliott's son announced he "died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones."

Ulliott was just diagnosed in February, and doctors didn't give him great odds ... saying it was really just a matter of time.

He amassed $4,364,305 in tournament earnings and is survived by his wife Anpaktita and their eight children.
