Girlfriend wants to take our relationship to the next level and I told her I will never get married again......She wasn't too thrilled by my response but I felt it was better to be honest with her. So my question is would you guys do it all over again?? And I don't want to hear any BS about how you have the coolest wife in the world, lol!!!

I wanted a Soul mate, didn't have that in my first marriage.
Plus she keeps me In-Check !

Some guys don't want to be kept In-Check..... but in the long run, it's better.

I'm not saying that she says, Oh you can't Bet this much on a game....The truth is, even though she knows my Gambling....I don't tell her Everything. ( wink )
As long as it doesn't take away from our Living Style .....she's fine with that.

I spend a lot of time with her since I retired. And it takes a Great Relationship to do this.
I'm home working here at the RX, I help her out when she runs her business
we go out a lot, Travel a lot.....all together.

BTW Harry, you should follow your own heart, y'know what I mean.

If you want to marry her, do it. If not, don't, it wouldn't be fair to either of you.

Most of my married friends are miserable. They talk about their wives' with terms like "hate" , "bitch", "stupid c@#t".
How do people live like that? I would have to leave.

Yes, I am the exception to the rule. If I ever thought of my wife in those terms, I would just leave.

There is a reason why life expectancy rates are clearly higher for
married people.

I've been happily married for 16 years, and wouldn't have it
any other way.

Marriage is tough, that's for sure. I'm on my 16th try at it and I still can't get it right. Can't figure out why these 2 week romances then get married doesn't work out??

Most of my friends stay married because of financial means. Divorce is $$$$$, believe me I know. And most of them cheat and have no respect for each other. My ex and me have remained very close but we just didn't want to be married to each other any longer.

It is probably a 50/50 proposition whether it will work out, but worth the risk.

Depends on the person. I know people who love their marriage cause of the kids and support and shit. I know some who love their marriage because of the companionship and having somebody to travel with and communicate with. I know some who hate their marriage but tolerate it because divorce for a man is financial and mental bitch.

Marriage won't work for me though because I am a creature of solitude. I need multiple hours out of the day just for myself.
