Jacksonville sneaks in!!

Home town of Lynyrd Skynyrd and The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party....you'd think it would be a little higher!

Las Vegas #36?

Must not include tourists.

Not surprised San Diego is #10. I used to live there.

Must not include cities with the majority of the drinking population being college students...

I got the drunkest I've ever gotten in my life in the #15 town when I was going to college there. I was underage to start with but got served anyway. I was drinking 7-7's, an had 18 of them at .50c a drink. The barmaid had her boyfriend drive me and a friend back to our dorms, and this guy had a brand new Grand Prix that was all white inside and out. The barmaid gave me a glass of tomato juice to try and sober me up. Needless to say, I got sick on the way home, and vomited out the back window. He then had a red "flame" down the side of his car. Never was so embarrassed in my life.

Bogus list:

How can Morgantown, WV (with WVU) not be there?

How can Baton Rouge not be there?

It makes no sense. There is no way that per capita drinking in New York or Boston is higher than that in those two places.

I read someplace that University of South Carolina was the drunkenest college.

The holy grail of those lists is from Playboy...they stopped putting WVU on the list because it wasn't fair to put pro's in a list of amateurs, haha. I definitely add to this.

I think it might be based on sheer quantity. WVU only has about 30,000 students. Not every single one is a drunkard but most of us are. There's 550,000+ people in Boston. Not to mention NY and Boston are packed with colleges.

Morgantown is probably not even close to either.

I was thinking Miami should be on the list...

Grew up in Iowa(three towns on list).......moved to Vegas(on list).......moved to Tampa(on list).

Chances are remote on moving to Provo, Ut or WallaWalla, WA.

Wow - I thought New Orleans woulda been a lot higher than #25.

Buffalo - although there's a "gin-mill" on every corner, most of them have closed up already, so I'm a bit surprise. Woulda though they would be in the high 30's.
