How can you let a coach like Cable go when he's the best thing that has happened to the Raiders since 2002?
The guy only led his team to a .500 record, and defeated EVERY opponent in their division TWICE!! Before this year, the Raiders were in contention for the 1st draft pick almost every year.
So what is this guys thinking? Who does he think he's going to replace Cable with, for the money he wants to pay, and would put up with his BS. We all know Al likes to run things from upstairs, and that's why he lost Gruden.
I listened to Phil Vilipiano, former Raider interviewed on the NFL network on Sirius radio, and he had nothing but bad things to say about the firing. He feels that the Raiders took a step backward with this firing. I think it might be MORE than a few steps backwards.
What the hell was Davis thinking? In a press release, the Raiders said that this wasn't a last minute decision, and it's been a long time in the works!:think2:
