Jim Harbaugh has agreed to a five-year, $25 million contract to become the San Francisco 49ers' head coach Friday, according to team and league sources.

As a lifelong Dolphins fan (from Miami originally,) I was hoping he'd go with my team. Ross even offered him $8 million a year, and Jim turned him down. My team will now languish in mediocrity with Sparano at the helm. They will suck even worse next season! :>(

No way Harbaugh was offered $8 million ... and even if it was, they probably had a shit load of pre-qualifiers and conditions ... I can't see someone paying more than that for a "Steve Spurrier" or a "Nick Saban" type of guy ... and the Dolphins have tried hiring Nick Saban so they probably wanted to be careful.
