I never understood the appeal of slot machines. By the 3rd pull I want to pull my hair out im so bored. I cant imagine how these old people sit at them things for 12 hrs at a time.

I cant think of nothing more boring then pulling a slot machine.

I even know a person that has an iphone app with slot machines that she plays on her IPHONE for free hours at a time.

I dont get it at all.

Old people love that crap. I don't even know how they understand what's going on. Each machine is so different from the next. They waste all their government money at the casinos. That should be prohibited.

story was about the same as always...people for it, use the argument that adults should be able to spend their money how they want, and that if they dont spend it on gambling they'll spend it elsewhere, or find a place they CAN gamble..

those against, argued it will ruin families, and that every person who gambles loses everything they have and turns to crime, and that if the casino wasnt rigth there, they wouldnt gamble on anything.....yeah right

funny, they never say take the GOVERNMENT RUN lotteries away...those NEVER ruin families

govt run lotteries = worst odds ever

hitting a 766 to 1 shot on a $1 ticket pays $3....$12 if you pay an extra $1 for the multiplier.....wtf

In NY, the state takes 68% of the net win from the casinos/racinos. I think they give a little less than half towards "education".

In some states it goes into a "General Fund" and the public does not have the right to know how that is spent.
