I thought this line should have opened at Atlanta - 3 1/2 so the present line somewhat surprises me. I guess if I didn't have huge futures on Falcons at 17/1,15/1 and 13/1 AFC and also some 40/1 and 35/1 and 32/1 Sb, I would be wagering more on Atlanta. The line is saying that GB is a better football team than Falcons ! I think not !

Green Bay was out of the playoffs just a few weeks ago ! Why should they be considered a better team than the Falcons now ? I really think this line is only remembering what they saw recently. Take the Falcons and cash this one !

I think GB was considered the better team from the get go. But they ran into some
serious injury problems, including their QB. Even w/o him they almost won in NE.
At Atlanta they lost by only 3 on a last second FG. Rogers passed for over 300 yds.

Sorry but I certainly never have considered GB the better team. Falcons won 8 straight until a really quite meaningless game against the Saints as everyone knew they were going to be the Panthers in the last game of the season.

KERMIT.......the teams are very even.

GB on short rest could turn out to be their downfall.

But make no mistake about it, right now, GB is every bit as good as the dirty birds.

I was speaking of the general perception before the season started. Of course Atlanta
are tough, almost unbeatable, at home. Further to their previous encounter, which
was decided by 3, i wonder why you'ld think the line should have opened at -3.5.

" "The penalties were unacceptable," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "You can't have them."

"Rodgers tied the game at 10 with a 1-yard run in the third quarter, but all he could think about was that fumble trying to score from the same distance in the first half. On fourth-and-goal, he lowered his head in an attempt to sneak it over, but the ball popped loose in the end zone. Mike Peterson fell on it to end Green Bay's streak of 15 quarters without a turnover, its longest since 1963.

"That's what lost the game," Rodgers said. "It's discouraging not to win a game we should have won." "
