Will Jets/Pats game have any influence on Asomugha?

Heard he has been communicating with Revis. I would think he is ready for some exposure which NY would give him. Those two would just be nasty together.
What if NE easily wins and the Pats go after Asomugha, McCourty would be great to play with. Does NE go after him? Is Asomugha looking for the highest bidder?
Any thoughts on this here matter...

He would have to want to play in NE because the cap would be an issue, so why spend it on a CB for 15 million plus?

NE needs a pass rusher and a replacement for Mankins.

From what I know free agents won't be able to sign until after the draft and there might not be a cap next season.

With or without the cap, do you really think the Patriots would sign a high priced player like that?

No, but next year the Pats D will pass the Jets D as a better and younger defense. If Asomugha goes to NE that keeps the Jets from changing that and will give NE a top 5 defense. It is just a thought. I think the Pats D looks great next year no matter where he goes.
