Bodog customer service is terrible

About 35 hours ago, I deposited $500 via MG and reported the reference number via live chat. The CS agent presumably verified the reference number to make sure such a deposit even existed and the transfer was successful, and said the deposit would be credited within 30 to 45 minutes. About an hour ago, I check the account and still no credit for the deposit. I log into chat again to report the situation and am told they can't discuss the situation over chat and ask if someone can call me. I give my phone # and wait a few minutes for the call. Finally, they call and I'm put on hold so the agent can "review my account" before he tells me the reference number is invalid. How could it be invalid if I gave the same number right after the deposit? I'm staring at the receipt reflecting the number as he's telling me this. But he insists the number is wrong and tells me I have to call Money Gram.

First, shouldn't they have checked the number before advising me it would be credited in 30-45 minutes over a day ago? And if it WAS in fact invalid, why didn't anyone notify me after promising it would be credited soon?

I call Money Gram and repeat the exact same reference number and receiver info, and they say the transfer went through perfectly fine and the money is there waiting to be received--just as I expected. I go on live chat again and "Ishy P" of Bodog tells me they can't confirm the transaction online via chat (although other sportsbooks' agents have confirmed deposits on chat just fine; they usually just say the deposit went through and the account will be credited).

So then "Mark" of Bodog calls me and again puts me on hold to review the status, even though he should already know wtf he's calling about. We verify the same exact ref # and receiver info and he insists the ref # is invalid. I keep telling him it can't be invalid because I JUST CONFIRMED it was valid directly with Money Gram. He puts me on hold against and comes back and says the account will be credited within 30-45 minutes. I tell him I'm not going through that again only to see no deposit and no notification the next day, and demand that he tell me whether the transaction actually went through. He repeats that the reference # is invalid, and at this point I'm irate because why would he promise it would be credited shortly if he can't even locate the deposit? He continues to repeat BOTH that the reference # is invalid but also that my account would be credited, which is not an adequate explanation for me...because I want to know what happened and what to expect...and don't want to keep getting arguing pointlessly over a simple issue. After refusing to explain anything, he tells me to check my account and I see the funds are finally credited. When I ask him what happened, he just continues to insist that the ref # was invalid, but also that they received the money...and makes no attempt to reconcile the inconsistency or apologize for any error on their end. Instead, he keeps saying the money is there, as if I should just be happy about that. I just don't get how absolutely nothing changed from my first contact about the deposit, showing they turned a simple transaction into an unnecessary ordeal on their end, yet there is no accountability or any attempt to explain.

Although I understand that humans make mistakes, I'm incredibly disappointed in Bodog's lack of common sense, professionalism and courtesy in dealing with the most basic of transactions.

Thanks. I was thinking about posting up some money there. Now I'll think twice about it.

I've always thought BoDog was excellent in the customer service department.

Here's a funny story. An unnamed book didn't have odds up on a boxing match that was to be played on ESPN 2 in an hour. I ask when the odds will be up. The guy asks me to wait. Checks back with me every 5 minutes. Says he is trying to find out. After almost 30 minutes he finally gets an answer and says the odds will be up any second. 30 minutes later the fight starts and nothing was ever put up. Awesome CS there. Glad I waited 30 minutes.

It must be their security department you're dealing with. I had a problem with them a long time ago, and they made me jump through hoops before I could get it resolved. You should ha ve gotten them and MG in a three way call.

i will say i feel like the doom switch got turned on in the poker room since cashing out.....open ended straight + nut flush draw.....nothing.....K/J suited in the blind, flop a set of jacks, run into A/J....pick up pocket aces, everybody folds, either that or 2/3/3 flops and the big blind starts acting crazy

they did just add a new 24 hour withdrawal method that looks promising for next time (assuming there is a next time)

if they do offer transfers u should ask them directly. they can give u exact information not guesswork....but to short answer u.. i dont think they do since its not listed on their site.

my advice is get a bankwire or check from them and then deposit it at another book.

postup books are at the mercy of their processors, sounds more like a processor issue than a bodog issue per se

got the check today.....it took 8 business days, but a positive is that it was a legit check from a major bank, so i had no problem cashing it.....as long as the time line stays consistent the next couple times (assuming there is a next time) i got no problem with it

I've just about had it with them. My last 2 payouts have been a pain in the ass.

I requested a payout on Sunday night. They emailed me the next day, asking me to submit a CC verification form for a card I used to deposit with 9 months ago.

My last 2 deposits made with Bodog were made by E-Check. I didnt even use this CC.

So anyway, I went ahead and did what they asked. Then they sent me an email the next day saying they needed a copy of my CC. So I went ahead and emailed them that.

I have now sent them this copy THREE times! They keep saying they never received my email. This is such bullshit.

I just sent it again for the fourth time. Im going to call them every hour and hound them until they process my f-ing payout.
