We are jumping to conclusions as we really dont know what happened. Should the kid have gotten a ticket, no. But what if the child was told by the cop not to throw his ball at the car prior to this incident and instead of listening to the officer, he just threw his ball anyway? The kid should have never gotten a ticket but he still needed to be taught that officers need to be treated with respect. I would bet that there is much more to this story than is being reported.
don't be so quick to judge.....a classroom of 2nd graders in oakland are accused of giving oral sex to each other....the teacher's culpability is under investigation, but it looks more like a matter of incompetence on his part than anything else
