Man do we suck now. I'm wondering if there is anyone on the horizon that might give us some hope. I realize that when healthy Venus or Serena are capable of winning a major but that seems to be about it. The men are pathetic. IMO Roddick is occasionally capable of making it to a late round, but he can't beat any of the top players. Isner shows occasional flashes, but has won nothing major. Guess the country clubs just don't make em like they used to.

Seems to me that the Americans have big serves but aren't as complete of players as the Europeans.

not like it used to be....and Venus and Serena are getting up in years ( for tennis players ) and their injuries are too often, i doubt we see another 2-3 majors out of them combined....Roddick has been an underachiever his whole career...

The days of the Connors/McEnroes and Evert/King/Austin are long gone....
