I know how it is..... when younger, it would be easier to just run to Micky D's or where ever, than to cook up a Meal

Not Now..... More Home cooked

Cooking fish properly can be tricky. It's a fine line between over cooked and under cooked depending on the size of the fish and the species. I feel the Chinese cook fish the absolute best. Go grab some Chinese and fish "specific" cook books. Cooking fish whole is the best!

Recently lost about 60 lbs. and have kept it. I only eat clean now. If I get a taste of fast food I will cave and go back to it. I can't cheat and I don't

My first year after college I ate so much fast food. A home cooked meal was a novelty. Gourment was either a stouffer's entree or swanson's hungry man dinners - that was the extent of my home cooking. The only good thing was I lived in the Chicago area then and there was a lot of really good deep dish pizza. Long story short, I got sick of eating all that crap so I taught myself how to cook. I cook more nights than the wife. Still get pizza or chinese once in a while.

Haven't touched fast food in months. Granted, I make a lot of chicken and hamburg at home, still better than take out.

Haven't touched McDonalds in over 6-7 months, BK in over a year, Wendy's in probably 6-7 months. Most recent fast food is Subway.

I put about even but when I eat out "fast food" I'm getting stuff that isn't nearly as damaging as a meal from mcdonald's or wendy's.

There are so many cooking shows on TV with really simple, easy recipies.

I challenge anyone here to note how much you spend eating out a week compared to buying groceries and making it yourself. I love to cook, almost as much as I like when others cook for me :ohno:

Bravo Brother!

One of the problems people have is they don't write down and set up menus for eat at home meals (I'm guilty as charged for this too) We try very hard to do this but it's hard with a bunch of rug rats running around. I think if people had a dry erase board in their kitchen with a huge list of their favorite meals and had time to make those meals things would change. We have tried this many times and failed because of time. I try and cook from scratch at home on the week ends as much as possible,.

Working in the restaurant industry has really turned me off from going out to eat. Not because of horror stories, but because I know I can make the same meals at home for 1/5 the price. If not more.

14+ years as a firefighter....I think I can cook!! HELLO!

I eat at home at least 50% of the time....but don't eat "fast food" often. At lunch I get some "fast food" like Subway, Chinese takee-outee, Chipotle, Panera...but I bring my lunch to work about 1/2 the time also....

I haven't eaten fast food ground beef in 3+ years!

Dante, I eat ground beef....just not from a fast food joint! I eat a burger about once a week...w/ fries. Especially after a long 17, 18 mile training run!
