Arizona restaurant is known for serving exotic meats like python, alligator

TUCSON, Ariz. — An Arizona restaurant has scrapped plans to offer African lion meat in its tacos.

Bryan Mazon, the owner of Boca Tacos and Tequila, said Monday that his Tucson eatery has received "many threats" against the restaurant, family members, customers and vendors since he announced last week that he was taking prepaid orders for the exotic tacos.
Boca planned to start serving the lion tacos Feb. 16 at a cost of $8.75 apiece.

The eatery already has served up python, alligator, elk, kangaroo, rattlesnake, oysters, turtle, duck and frog legs in its tacos.

Mazon said he will continue to bring unique menu items to his customers, but not at the expense of safety.

Mazon told the Arizona Daily Star that he had received at least 25 "direct threats" and "probably hundreds" of indirect ones, including many on Facebook.

Yawn

a lot of places serve lion burger along with other exotic meats.

I've never had it, I'm not into eating cats.

several farms in the US raise the lions for meat.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It must not be that tasty otherwise it would catch on and it would be served everywhere like chicken or beef. A Pig is a nasty animal but I love bacon.

Yeah, it's no big deal. But I can see this pussy (pardon the pun) backing down because the Sheriff of Pima County is a pussy liberal who doesn't do shit. The crime rates in Pima County are multiples of Maricopa County (Phoenix) because of this guy.

If this restaurant owner were in Maricopa County Sheriff Joe would give him protection.
