Mass. Man beats out 3.1 million people that entered ESPN’s Fantasy Football Contest without living in a home or having regular access to a computer.

San Jose, Costa Rica, January 25th, 2011, Hollywoodsportsbook.com, (www.hollywoodsportsbook.com) a leading online entertainment gaming site since 1997, today announced that it has chosen Salem Massachusetts resident and fantasy football fanatic Nathan Harrington 33, as its latest “Gambler of the Week.”

Robert Evans, Hollywood’s Director of Operations says what a great story. Here’s a guy with every obstacle going against him in life but still had the fortitude to gamble with his time to find ways to stay alive both literally and figuratively in this contest and actually win the damn thing beating 3.1 million other contestants in the process.

Harrington, following a car accident in 2009, along with his son and fiancée, were left homeless after their apartment building was deemed “unlivable” due to large quantities of rats. They went on to live in a cheap motel and to put their computer in a storage unit.

Evans goes on to say, “Hollywood itself had a Fantasy Football challenge this year and we are proud of our winners as well because to have a successful fantasy team you need to closely monitor it and make correct transactions to ensure the best result. Since his computer was no longer available, Harrington was forced to get creative.

He asked other guests at the motel to use their computer to adjust his lineup. He used the local library. He had friends of his make moves on his account for him. He even used computers at his father’s nursing home and made the right call by putting Tim Tebow on his team in the final week of the Regular Season to win. Now that is the true definition of a Fantasy Football Fanatic.”

For winning, Harrington will receive a $3,500 gift certificate to Best Buy. He plans to sell the certificate to his mother for $2,500 in which he will then attempt to get his family back on their collective feet. (Mom couldn’t chip in more than $2,500? Come on Mom, step up and at least pay face value, your son is homeless! And come on ESPN $3500 for 3.1 million entries! You cheap bastards. We gave our winner $1000 for 1/1000th the number of entries. Evans pontificates.

For being chosen as our “Gambler of the Week,” Hollywood is awarding Mr. Harrington with a $500 wagering account which we hope he can run up to thousands in order to find some more suitable living arrangement, as well as a spokesperson offer for our next season’s fantasy contest to hopefully inspire our contestants, many of whom quit after the second week because of a poor performance. They can certainly learn something from Mr. Harrington.

Additionally Hollywood has a special promotion in honor of Mr. Harrington. Sign up and make a deposit with them and they will give you an extra 20% Cash Bonus to use on their site using promo code GOW20.
