I'm driving up to Vegas in a few weeks, and staying at Trump Hotel. I guess they only have valet parking from what I've read online. Have any of you ever stayed there and found parking spots nearby? If not, what do you usually tip for valet these days?

Parking spots ?? There's No Street parking .... but if you can find the next Hotel/ Casino that's next to Trump, then park there.

Valet tipping could be anywhere from $2 - $5 bucks or more....guess it depends on often you use them.

I know there is no street parking, but I thought maybe there was a lot close by. If it's only $5, I'll probably just valet. I'll be going in and out quite a bit...my brother has a rugby event at Sam Boyd Stadium. I guess I could try to park at the Wynn as well, just wasn's sure if you had to stay there to use their lot.

The parking valets love drink tokes better than cash.

As do waitresses,I off my tokes to waitresses before I go to bed cause most have to be used in 24 hours or less.

you might want to park at the fashion show mall, I think Trump is one of the only hotels in vegas that charges for parking.

what are drink totes, and why would the valets love them when drinking is pretty much free here in vegas?

Of course a valet doesn't want a drink coupon , esp. from his employer, where he probably can't even use it. They prefer Elvis chips !

I would think they might prefer drink tickets because they might have more value than the usual tip they receive. I thought I spotted some street parking by Trump, but I was just driving by on my way to the Wynn.

Drink tickets are like candy to the locals.

They do not sit down and gamble like us tourist.

Years ago back in the 90's I had a bunch of tokes and was passing them out to the guy's I engaged in conversation with at the sportsbook bar and they were stoked.

Also I had friends that went to UNR and I left some money with them and would call and they would go to Peppermill and make my bets and they too were stoked because they could get the tokes.

Had a fling with a waitress in Reno and she said customers give her cash for drinks and she turns in tokes.

Tokes are good.
