I know they are a forum sponsor, and Im not lashing out, just putting this out there for other forum members to know.

I have had my limits lowered to $25 max win. I called and the answer I was given was, "We do not want to take your action, because your win rate was more than we like to see, so until your action levels out, we are limiting you to a max of $25/win per bet."

I understand how you make money, by people losing, but it isnt cool to limit someone that is winning.

Just an FYI to anyone else playing there, watch out, if you win too much, your limits will drastically be reduced.

don't think they're the only book that has ever done this....don't think you're going to get much sympathy

I know they are not the first, they wont be the last, dont care for sympathy, but other players need to know this.

yeah, i hate to say it, but i think it's their right to do it if they want...AS LONG AS THEY PAY YOU your winnings, if u leave, then i think it's their call.....

Now if u had a rollover to meet and they were doing it so you couldnt reach your rollover for a longer period that might be different, but if they choose they don't want your action cuz you're too good, then your option is to take your money and go play elsewhere....

simple math would assume you'll even out, and the book who booted you would be the one missing out and your return to the mean....

but i don't think there is anything "shady" about it

there was no rollove to meet, i dont do bonuses. And yes it is their right, and my right to choose to go elsewhere, but others need to know this in case they get hot or go on a streak.

take it as a compliment, you are too good for them

as bucsfan said, as long as they pay you without issue i would not worry too much about it

I disagree, they hang the lines they set the limits, if they hang different lines or limits for different customers, this is complete bullshit, and why I will never play at an offshore that does it. It's not a fair practice, and I disagree with anyone who says it is. If one is not allowed to win at something that only 2% can beat, then IMO it bull shit. And why anyone would place a bet there is beyond me. If everyone stopped playing at books that do this, they'd stop doing it.

exactly they should put a disclaimer that says losers only please. Why would anyone place a bet if they new winning wasn't allowed. Kind of defeats the whole purpose. That's why they get the vig. It's just greed IMO

Very true but it's still good to know. What I would like to know is which offshore books don't do this? The Greek? Pinny? and Bookmaker? I'm sure there aren't many

I think they kind of do, with the "recreational players only" type posts.....i'm sure oldman ted knows a thing or 2 about getting the proverbial boot from a book

when you're getting beat for $8800 over a short period of time, i don't think there are many books that will sit back and wait for the reversal to the mean.....somebody betting and winning like that out of the gate kind of points to a player who knows what he's doing.....they would probably let me win as many $20 bets in a row that i want, but i start winning every day at $500 or more a play, i figure it's just a matter of time.....

why is it not cool? they are in business to make money and if they feel it is a smart business decision to cut your limits - switch books. take it as a compliment, politely ask for your money, and deposit at a different book. like someone mentioned... there are plenty of top level books that will take your action - unless you are betting steam that is.

most books would not care about losing 9 dimes to a guy in a short period of time...
