MGM Grand - Las Vegas

I will be in Vegas with my girl and a few friends. We are going March 7-11th and I would like to get a suite. Does anyone know of a way to get a better deal than what is advertised on the internet? We could stay at the Luxor for about 250 less, but I really would rather take her to MGM since I like it there and its the first time she has ever been. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

My advice would be to NOT go to vegas with your girl AND your friends. One or the other is the only way to go.

You could try the "$20 trick" - slip the desk clerk $20 while asking if there are any complimentary upgrades available. I've done this before but only got a nice top floor room with a view. If you want a suite you might have to slip them more than $20. This is a pretty common routine - there's actually a website about it - http://www.thetwentydollartrick.com/

My wife works for MGM at one of their Casino Hotels. She's the one that checks you in. I'll ask her tonight when she gets home if there are any tricks to getting a deal on a room.

that worked for me last year at the Hilton las vegas... got upgraded room high floor strip view

sign up for mgm's online list and they will bombard you with offers, they are desperate and have a suite special right now [among others].

What he said, don't think the tipping thing will work at MGM for free upgrades. Make sure you get one of those players cards.

Yeah it is hard to win money when you can not even find the elevator that takes you to your room.

Feel so discombobulated.
