It’s coming. You can feel it. The biggest football game of the year—and the business opportunities, shall we say, it provides.

To take full advantage, you’ll need a damn good sportsbook. One that’s fully wired. Plenty of flat-screens. And, if possible, fully portable...

Introducing the Cantor Race & Sports Book at the Hard Rock Hotel, the first sportsbook in Vegas (and the world) to let you place bets from anywhere on hotel property, open now.

It’s a cathedral-sized sportsbook reimagined as a Wall Street trading floor. So you’ve got a wall of flat-screens fortified by over 70 betting terminals, each updated with the latest lines and prop bets. So if you have a last-minute premonition of an Aaron Rodgers sack, you can lay it down in a matter of seconds instead of bothering with niceties like betting slips, lines or putting down your mai tai.

And on Sunday, when you feel compelled to explore the massive Super Bowl party at The Joint next door, you can pick up an iPad-sized tablet or a phone-sized handheld device that will let you conduct the action from anywhere in the hotel. By the end of the month, the whole grounds should be wired.

Your dream of a jacuzzi-based gambling empire is finally within reach.

Eventually Cantor plans to have internet accounts so you can place your bets from home, you just have to go to the casino to withdrawal or add money to your account.
According to an interview I heard with the top guy at Cantor he said they will have this feature up with in 2 years

and from the machines that are available throughout the casino you'll be able bet on all kinds of ingame props like whether or not a player will make free throw while it's happening. They're turning sportsbetting into a slot machine which is pure genius, and also good news for sharps. With all the hold from square action sharps should make out pretty good.

The Hard Rock Vegas is up for foreclosure auction on Monday in NYC. They spent like 1.3 billion on renovations and now they can''t pay their bills. Amazing how much money these guys running casinos are being paid when they make dumbass decisions all the time.

I was under the impression that Cantor already had this option, betting from anywhere in the hotel, already in place at the Pallazo first.

They do have this option, just not at the Hard Rock yet, The technology is already there. Not sure but I thin the M resort has it too

The M was the first to have live in game wagering. I have done it several times at the M. However the technology sucks big time as I was there along with a friend for the Conference Championships a few weeks ago. The battery kept going dead and they didn't have any backups. I had to go back 6 times with a worthless control that had a dead battery and they said " Leave it here for about 30 minutes and We'll try to get it charged up". I was not alone as they had a whole batch of customers waiting for their wagering machines to get re-charged. Also I might add that it seems that since Cantor entered the picture, the futures have gone to pot
! The more Casinos that get taken over by the big conglomerates, the worse it is for us ! Look what happened when MGM and Harrahs took over 2/3 of the strip. The Palms used to have great futures also but now they are run by the Southpoint computers and their futures suck.
I have been to the new Hard Rock Sports Book 2 days ago and it's a huge improvement!

The best of the HR VEGAS is long gone.........full-pay 10/7, accompanied with a good slot card and fantastic monthly promos.

Spent many, many hours in this little ballpark.

They do have 9/6 Jacks or Better there which of course isn't quite up to 100 % but counting comps and slot club points probably gets you up to 100 %.
