My buddy who lives there said not to drive in until Saturday b/c the city is a mess and they don't have salt.

He said they are supposed to get 3 more inches of snow tomorrow.

How bad is it there? COming from Pittsburgh with a 4-wheel drive vehicle, I dont see much trouble there, unless of course all the roads are covered in Ice.

Ice in certain areas but I have been in it every morning and I drive a mustang. Snow is coming down pretty good now, streets are covered. I would wait until sometime after noon tomorrow

Should be no traffic. With a 4 wheel drive you should be ok. Its fresh snow over patchy ice.

Well you gotta remember that in Pittsburgh, the city helps out by salting the roads / sanding the roads. Dallas isn't equipped for that since it happens so rarely.

Here in Houston, apparently, EVERY overpass / elevated road is frozen over with ice. You should see how many accidents are being reported (http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/layers/). It's crazy. And Dallas, being several hundred miles north of us, should be worse.
