You can have not played and still comeback. He almost never played last year and rode the bench. It isn't specified you have to be injured all year, you just need to not have had a good year, its a resurgence
Mike Williams was out of football and unemployed after being a top 10 draft pick just a few years earlier. Little bit more deserving in my opinion.
Mike Williams deserves nothing. He is a lazy turd who should be flushed. He had two touchdowns, big deal. Now that he got a contract the joke will be on the Seattle fans... he already displayed his alligator arms during the Bears playoff game. He needed to come back because he ate through all his bonus money. Now he has the cash to get lazy and fat again.
Vick, on the other hand, went to prison for killing dogs. There are guys who killed people playing in the NFL right now, who hardly missed a beat.... not to mention rapists, wifebeaters, etc.
Wow, the guy was lazy after he got drafted and was out of the league. The guy decided that wasn't going to be his legacy and mounted a comeback and was invited to training camp with no promises. He not only makes the team but starts and ends up with 65 catches and 751 yards on a lousy team with an over-the-hill QB. He had more catches than guys like DeSean Jackson, Braylon Edwards, Anquan Boldin, Hines Ward and Michael Crabtree.
Despite what happened after he was drafted, you can at least applaud his hard work and determination to get back in the league and start at WR for an NFL team. That's a comeback.
To 'comeback' don't you have to have accomplished something in the first place? USC doesn't count. For a top 10 pick to have 44 catches and 2 touchdowns in his career prior to this season, there was nothing to come back from, as he had accomplished absolutely nothing in the league. He wasn't injured or anything, he was just a fat lazy turd. Chris Carter said so after he came to him to work out prior to the draft- basically the laziest SOB that he'd ever seen in not so many words.
Say what you want about Vick, but for a few seasons, he played at a very high level. Then he spends a year in prison, and has to mostly ride the bench for a long period of time in Philly before he gets another chance. Ask Mike Tyson how hard it is to come back after serving time.
