i will try to avoid it, but will probably end up checking in and out. not cooking anything, not going to any super bowl party crap.

Why?

This is probably one of the most anticipated Super Bowls in a few years.

i tend to stray from the majority. i dont like being part of a mass collective who watches the same thing, buys the same stuff, and thinks the same way. i believe it's a way of programming commonly used.

while i do like football, the nfl has been on the decline for years imo and im just getting tired of the 24/7 football environment.

like i said, i will probably check in and out, but i will not buy into the corporate programming of having to cook food and celebrate a game like i would a holiday like christmas.

That's your opinion and you definitely have a right to state it, but as for me I absolutely love the NFL. If not for the NFL, sports in America would be a dying cause. The extremely long boring season that is known the MLB or the Thugs-or-Us NBA. NFL, CFB, CBB (mens) is what makes my sports world spin. Throw in watching some Sunday golf while getting horizontal on the couch......LIFE IS GOOD!

'celebrate a game like i would a holiday like christmas'

isn't celebrating christmas, being part of the majority & a mass collective?

the game is on free tv. i don't buy into the commercials, ususually mute those. and i don't care if these are the best commercials or not. not even trying, i ended up seeing that betty white commercial, how many times? sickening.

today is The sports gambling holiday. might as well join in & celebrate.
