I've planned several of these and it's always been easy because it's been with all people I know. I knew how much to spend, what everyone would enjoy. This time around, I am planning a party that I will only know the groom.

What is a fair amount to ask for people for cost?

Also, If I have it in Atlantic City, what should we do? Any ideas?

We looked into deep sea fishing, too expensive... So I thought a casino would be fun and people can manage what they spend a little more, but I want some things planned... I also thought maybe going to a bar with one of those Golf Simulators. Most people don't golf, but thought more would be willing to try with one of the Simulators, maybe get a pro for tips for an hour or two.... This is tough. apperciate any tips and advice, thank you

Thanks LAX, Im actually thinking of taking the paintball and rolling with... Im worried about the budget with some of these guys... So this would probably be cheaper

Whats yall opinion of this... Groom is 25, most of us are his age, or older, maybe up to early 30s...

Bachelor Party Agenda....
1. Our first event will be with some paintball
2. Go back to the hotel clean up.. and have a home poker game, do some drinking
( Questions about poker.. We are in DC area, no casino close... Should we do tournament over Cash game? You think the Hotel would have a problem with us playing in the lobby or a conference room or somewhere.. if so I got a table and can pack it up with us)
3. Go to a nice steakhouse
4. Go Bar hopping.. theres a place that has Golf Simulators... but we would go to a couple places
(is that too much physical activity for the day)
5. Stripper meets at the hotel and thats how the night ends

Any other ideas, suggestions, concerns or improvements

well paint ball would be the only thing not in the area.. the hotel will be centrally located so we can walk or cheap tax ride.. it will be 10+ of us so will need multiple cabs.. I thought about limo, but I feel its already pricey.

Is $200 + your own dinner, alcohol, and single for strippers expense too much ??

Sounds like a good itinerary....How many people total & how well does everyone else know each other?

I'd have everyone be responsible for their own rooms, paintball and dinner & drinks while out and then take a collection per head that covers a suite for the groom, community booze, tourney buy in & strippers.

Groom's suite should be big enough for your main poker table & have a small table available for a cash game for the early exits.

Leave it up to them if some want to double up rooms but figure it out beforehand so you can get a group rate.

What's an in room stripper cost these days anyway? Just add that + the suite cost + $40-50 PP tourney buy in + a few hundred for a Costco booze run and split it however many ways (Minus the groom obviously)

TY for the response... I would say paintball should be in it, because we will get a group rate, so i would pay that all at one time.. I think hotel would be too, because I plan to call the hotel and see what kind of special they will give me since we getting a bunch of rooms... And Ill price shop that...

Is it rude to book the hotel for people? I can take a count and see if anyone want to do double rooms, and whatnot.. I would have community alcohol in the price, but not bar alochol...

There is going to be at least 10 of us, so I think we would need 2 girls, and that runs about $500 for an hour, but usually if you tip well, they will stay.. so hope to keep em around for an extra 30 mins

I didn't think about a suite for the groom, great idea, thank you

Suite kills alot of birds.....Central meeting place, nice touch for the groom, room for poker & strippers & private bedroom in case anyone decides on extra curricular stripper activity.

I would absolutely NOT book everyone's rooms. Especially since you don't know them well. I wouldn't want that risk on my CC. Just get a list together, negotiate your rates & reserve the rooms but have everyone check in on their own CC's.

If you get 12 guys I'd figure:

$25 pp poker ($300 pot...175/75/25...You want the winner to feel like he's getting a free night)

$25 pp booze ($300 should go along way toward a well stocked bar from Costco...and keep drink costs down while bar hopping. Does everyone drink? Be prepared for someone to complain about contributing to this if they don't)

$50 pp for the girls ($500 base + $100 tip money for the Groom)

Start with that hundy each & add paintball & suite...Done deal.

How old are you guys, and how many of you are married? I ask this because if most of you are married, I wouldn't get too ambitious. In my opinion.... bachelor parties are going the way of the dinosaur, I've noticed a tremendous change in the past 15 or 20 years. People have forgotten that these parties are for the attendees glee in tormenting the soon to be groom, and instead of being good sports and going along with their friends plans/wishes, many grooms these days are so pussy-whipped that they've been told NO strippers and many of them are getting talked into these 'joint' bachelor/bachelorette 'parties'. From my experience, you may have a problem with the $200 as well...., either the women have a tremendous hold on guys' purse strings these days, or I just know some incredibly cheap people. Guys golfing and then disappearing saying they 'can't afford' the 30 bucks for the bus (I'm sure that their wives have told them in no uncertain terms how they will be spending their evening) or guys not showing up to golf, making a brief appearance at the bus pick up point, and then going AWOL. I was actually on one bachelor party where a guy disappeared from Hooters. Turns out he was picked up by his wife in the parking lot. The last few bachelor parties that I've been to were so lame (one we had to get the groom drunk enough to pass out on the bus before we could go to a strip club), I've passed on a few since. My recommendations: no early tee times, plan a clear itinerary, make people pay something upfront so you don't get left holding the bag, no poker games, and a ban on cell phones (so someone can't report every detail back to their woman- the 'guy code' of honor has pretty much disappeared)....

Maybe I just know some incredibly lame people, but these are my observations.

damn gil.. you know lame people. this is the 3rd i've planned in 3 years, and been to 5 over that time period. only one was kind of lame, but the guy was very straight edge... he planned that and did exactly what he wanted, eat dinner and shoot pool. all the others were no problems. People, including the married ones, had a ton of fun, and kept the liqour flowing all night.. thanks for the input. I will make a clear intenary but keeping poker.. people are welcome to opt out of the stripper but I dont think anyone will.
