funny story bout one of these "shake weights"
my family has one of those chinese swap christmas things every year as we gather on christmas eve for an annual party... we have 20 people who each buy a 25$ gift and wrap it and place them in center of room.. draw a number from 1-20 out of a hat.. first person gets to choose a gift and then open it... number 2 can either steal that gift(giving player 1 a chance to open a new one) or they can open a new one themselves.
if u steal from another player they can steal a gift(not the same one u just did) or they can open a fresh one.
with 20 people this lasts almost an hour so be prepared.. but VERY VERY FUN game and inexpensive way to have a good family gathering for holidays.
the max steals is 3 on each gift.. and there are people who get trapped with gifts they dont want too, based on the good ones getting stolen over and over
lets just say the shake weight was being passed up like it was a rotten egg and it was a joke the whole night about who bought the "shake weight" and who was gonna end up with it. LOL

My family has been doing the chinese swap for years. same rules, same $25. It is a GREAT time. So much better that buying 20 crappy gifts for 20 different people. It always gets really loud and is a ton of fun, especially after a couple cases of beer and alot of wine.
when i first seen this commerical my first thought was that a porno star wanted out of the bus and wanted an easier and safer way of making money.....and prob a girl who 'invented' this stupid thing.....unbelievable....it was only a matter of time before all these comedian's started using this as a bit for their act's and or show's....south park nailed it the best, imo...

imp:I guarantee it doesn't tone anywhere near as even 5 pound weights would. The thing about the Shake Weight, and because dumbasses purchase it (no offense to your wife) is that it DOES create muscle exhaustion. Dumbasses are thinking the exhaustion is hand-in-hand with building/toning the muscle. It's not.
