I need some advice on a place to stay. I have some friends that want to go there for a bachelor party. I would much rather go to Vegas or new Orleans or well a lot of other places for that matter. Nonetheless, any advice on a place to stay would be much appreciated as I have never been there. :toast:

The best hotel by far is the GOLD STRIKE, and I've stayed at them all............best location also.

Look online for the best deals.

Memphis is a mere 30 miles away, but other than that, TUNICA has absolutely nothing to offer except nine casinos and a couple nice golf courses.

I've been there a lot, but not so much in recent years.

The Horseshoe next door to the Gold Strike used to have some of
the best blackjack in the country. Once Harrah's bought it out, it
degraded.

That place is the only place I ever got flat-bet for counting cards.

What fish said is true, outside of the casinos in Tunica there isn't much
else. If you want strip clubs, you'll have to go to Memphis - which isn't
very far away.

Ahhh, the Redneck Riviera. Been to Tunica many times as I had a major client in Memphis, though not too recently as he's not a client anymore.

IMO the best place to stay was Sam's Town. I could get a room comped just about any night of the week and I am by no means a big gambler. Worst case scenario I had to pay around $25.00 a night when I wasn't gambling.

There are some decent golf courses if that's your gig, but for other entertainment I recommend going up to Memphis. Short drive, and you've got Graceland, which is a MUST if it's your first time to Memphis and tons of great BBQ places to sample.

For night-time entertainment, the place used to be Platinum, but it was closed down about 5 years ago. That place had a main stage and 3 different "cages". It was the best lesbian show's I've ever seen, live or on video. They had these 2 red-heads - wow, but that's gone. Anyway, there's 2 or 3 places still left to go to. Again, been a while but my best guess is the concierge can direct you to a good place or even have the girls come down to your room for a private kinda show.

Have fun.

Definately go to the Gold Strike. My wife and I love it there -- also went with a group of the guys for a bachelor party and we had a blast. The horseshoe is right next door, and if you feel like low-rolling it, the roadhouse has some dirt-ass cheap limits. I would recommend eating at Binion's at the Horseshoe - great food/service. If the drink service is slow at the GS, you can score some "free" drinks from any of the bars by slow playing 25cent BJ on the table-top games. The bartenders only check to see that money is loaded in the machine and as long as you tip and hit the button every minute or so the drinks will keep coming. They will also serve you call brands if you get lucky - My buddy and I downed half their bottle of Crown last time I was there. Beale Street can be okay for bar hopping in Memphis and I also believe there are several strip clubs within close distance but I haven't been to any of them.
