I think this summer I may have to go take a look see at that tumbleweed town .... Fishhead would like to see it im sure... maybe on his drive to vegas this summer

The Show Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura had a show about this place and its fenced in and have guards around the perimeter and they watch every move you make as they have cameras also.

Super 8 looks cool. Think I'll venture out to see that one.

Battle LA script seems played out, (INdependence Day, Nine? , etc....) I still like these kinds of movies so I will see it on video.

The reason I have doubts about Battlefield LA is that it seems like the type of movie where if you saw the trailer you saw the movie. 2012 was kind of like that...the best scenes were in the trailer. Not to mention this type of movie would usually be a summer blockbuster. A March release date??? Studio knows it can't measure up to the big boys.

Its almost hard for me to believe that places like this still exist... with google earth, and the internet as a whole... i'd love to see some real, documented, crazy stuff come out of there.

I've never really been interested since you can't really see anything from the road. I'd be all about it if they let me in to look around though.

There's nothing to see, just a fenced off area that you can't even get close to. No reason to go there.

I was in the area and went to take a look. You really can't drive very close as the road is gated as I recall. I've been told by a local guide that they take hikers up a nearby hillside where you can get a glimpse. However the satelite shots are probably far better than anything you can see by the naked eye anyway. Waste of time IMHO !
