Won't happen. They made a few minor changes, but nothing drastic to take it to the next level. Still, a very young team.

I don't think the Phillies are unbeatable like a lot of people.

Their lineup will be below average.

A couple of bad starts by their big four and they could be out of the playoffs.

Reds are 30-1 at 'Hollywood Sportsbook. Not good enough odds for me.

18-1 at bookmaker. That is garbage.

I think the Reds have a real nice team...however my pick to be the surprise team is the Cubs.

The Phillies are stacked, but it would take bigger balls than I have to lay money and only get in the +200 range for any team to win the pennant. They look good on paper, but I don't think that you can give any team in baseball over a 30% chance to win the pennant right when camps open. A lot can happen between now and October.

the surprise for the Cubs will be that people still fill the seats while they wither further and further away from a pennant

Won't play them to win it, but like them along with Oakland (pitching) to go over the total for season wins.

Dead-on once again Matt!

Anything can happen in baseball...but you'd be a fool to think the Phillies aren't the odds on favorite. And their "line-up" is more stacked than just the front of the batting order. They have some solid bats throughout the order....and I think last year was the 'year of the injury' for that team.

i'm guessing scott rolen is either average or a bust in 2011. some of the reds younger guys should be better. the reds should be near the top of the central again this yr.
