Isn't cash customary? Bed Bath and Beyond is very good for a gift, great store.

cash is always best and it sucks these days with what weddings cost if its a nice wedding standard is 200

Thats definitely a good starting point. Kind of matters what type of place the wedding is held at. If its a nicer hotel or functional hall you will want to up it just to cover your cost. If its the local VFW thats plenty.

$50 probably only covers your meal...actually $100 per person probably doesn't even cover your meal and an open bar !
