I lived in Vegas for about a year and made my living sports betting and playing blackjack. I lived in hotels for around $25 a day. This includes all utilities. I'm not talking about scrub hotels, I'm talking about nice hotels. Use any of the good online sites and you can find great rates at nice hotels. During the week the rates are as low as $17, on the weekends they go up to $55. I got to know some of the management people at a nice hotel on the strip and they gave me a great rate, I stayed there for about four months. I paid something like $700 a month. I made my hotel bill every day at one of the sportsbooks and paid it in cash.Is there a season when people move to vegas to either try to make it rich playing poker or betting ?? a few years ago Illini tried it for poker.... seems to be a draw for many lately...

.....been overdue.
Should have returned home a few years ago.
To answer the question Dante, yes, it appears to me that many are deciding to move back, or has is the case with many, moving to Vegas for the first time.......at a greater rate than I've witnessed in the past 10-12 years.
Believe the cheap housing market is the major drawing point currently, along with major league gambling and weather............these are certainly the top three reasons for my return.
