This happened to me last year. My home owners policy covered it. Like you, I was thankful that no body was hurt.

Extremely windy yesterday throughout the Northeast. Tree was not uprooted but snapped off near the bottom of the trunk. Looked like there was some rotting on the inside, and a lot of moisture within the tree. Just to illustrate the force of this thing coming down on the roof, I had a metal mast that was holding a radio antenna. The mast was driven thru the roof and left handing over our stairwell.

Damn. Neighbor of mine had his tree house tree topple over a few days ago. Luckily it didn't hit the house. At least you have some firewood I guess, Best of luck getting it fixed.

Lol! Yeah those blue doors are something, but my wife loves the colors of the house so that ain't happening. I happened to be riding the exercise bike when the tree came down right above my head - just goes to show how dangerous exercising can be. As far as I know the insurance should cover everything, except for the deductable.

I was worried about this happening to me 2 nights ago. It was the loudest wind i've ever heard and my house is surrounded by northern pines. was a bit scary. glad no one was hurt.

Wind was crazy up here....... Trees that are about 30 yards away, looked like they were going to reach the House.

Lucky that nobody was hurt... that's the main thing.
