I'm going to be in Vegas in a couple of weeks to watch the WCC tourney. I'm also spending a night in Mesquite and playing a couple of golf courses up there. The thought of bed bugs makes me sick, and I'm absolutely terrified that I'll bring them back with me.

Does anyone know anything about bed bugs in Vegas/Mesquite and how to avoid them?

I stay in hotel's all the time and haven't had any problems at all - last time I was in Vegas I heard nothing at all about bed bugs. I tend to avoid the roach coaches though. Maybe the whole thing is just a little overblown?

I bring my own Pillow when I go to any hotel , ill be there in vegas in a few weeks also for Marchmadness.... I have not heard of issues with bedbugs there ... but you can always bring even a sheet to cover there sheets if your really worried and a pillow... also bring Lysol to spray off the phone and tv remote before using it.... that is the nastiest thing in the room the remote for the tv

Had bedbugs once in Vegas. Now I keep my luggage closed and keep it in the tub so I don't bring any home with me.

Ha. You might be right. I lived in Vegas after school for 6 long months, and had a cockroach infested apartment at the Paradise Bay Club. I think the Hard Rock has since purchased the property and tore it down (good riddance). Couple that with a story I saw on our local news last week, and I've been thinking about it quite a bit. Pretty creepy thinking about things crawling on you while you sleep.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions everyone.

I know for a fact that most casinos here have bedbugs.. My friend stayed at Paris 2 months ago and got bedbugs, and Bally's last month and also got them..

I know a pharmacist that regularly works the Walgreens on the strip and between 5-10 people each night come there asking what to do for this disgusting problem they have.. They'll show their arms or legs and the pharmacist can tell instantly its bedbugs.. Known to be at Treasure Island, Venetian, Imperial Palace (you're lucky if you ONLY get bedbugs here) amongst other places

Sweet. Do the rental cars in Vegas have them too? Looks like that's where I'll be sleeping. This is disturbing.

With all the traffic in & out of Vagas, i wouldn't be surprised if it has
a much higher than average infestation than most other places which
are not tourist attractions.
