I was surprised to find out there will be NO Bet Jam Nascar contest this morning. I and many others looked forward to these RX mini competitions. It surely put some $$ through the Bet Jam till, as it would normally attract 50+ contestants, requiring a $100 in wagers, to collect full Bonus Play prize money. These contets got me interested in Nascar, as I had never paid any attention to motor racing before. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. R. I. P.

i would be interested to know how many people actually put in the required action that played... my guess would be this had a part in the contest no longer being offered.

Very few here I would imagine bet $100 a week on NASCAR so most the payouts were probably 25% of the prize money, can see where they would want to pull the plug on it. Do appreciate all the contests BJ offers. But it will be missed.

Let's assume that every week's winners were not posting $100 through their account. I believe the prize money was $300, $200, & $100 for first, second, and third place. Reduced to 25%, it was costing them $150 per race in "Bonus Play" to sponsor a popular contest. The $150 requires a xx rollover. Wonder how much of that was ever cashed out? Personally, I never won the contest, but enjoyed it nevertheless, with zero+ Nascar savvy.

This was the main reason.

Out of 36 weeks in this NASCAR contest, I don't recall 1........Not one......Player who was active

What many fail to realize in these contests is that it doesn't have to be a SINGLE $100 wager.

It can be five different $20 wagers, 10 different $10 wagers, or 20 different $5 wagers on different driver matchups & props.
Doing it that way one would normally break about even, come out a little ahead, or risk losing very little and still have put in the action...

even with very generous books like betjamaica, they have to see some kind of "return" for their investment, if we want to keep having them sponsor things......

seeing poster gripe about free contests, and bitch about rules, etc....always makes us twinge, cuz htere are no guarantees of having free contests....people should appreciate what we get and thank the ones who give them to us......most do, but sometimes a few don't and that always hurts.

Yes.... There is actually one specific long thread last year with some complaints about the NASCAR contest that was the 2nd thing that contributed to it being a no-go this year.

I wasn't going to bring that part up but since you did bucs I thought I should throw it out there so everyone knows for the future...

I have to admit I was one that was mostly inactive. Most of it is due to my bad luck. Not really following Nascar much, the first time I went active I think I did 5 $20 wagers & somehow lost all 5. The second time I did 4 wagers for $25 apiece and was on my way with all 4, 5 laps from the finish all were the perennial "lock". I was giddy. One car then ran out of fuel and a last lap crash took out 2 more. A overtime green-white-checker then cost me my last bet. I went 0 for 9, LOL, and just gave up, figuring this just ain't my game.

But, hey, thanks to BJ for all their contest participation, it is noted & remembered my most all.

I can understand them trying to drum up wagering interest in a mostly dormant area. I do. It would fit the bill better for me, if, say, they made entry requirements like $300 wagered per weeek on anything.

Thanks again to BetJ for their past participation.
