Two people at a wedding. 1 drunk as hell......Tries to fight groom, breaks some glass, berates some people, berates/pushes/grabs the dude who tries to help him all night. Everyone tells the dude to please drive the drunk guy home and get him out there.
They get in the car, drunk guy says go to the bar or ill punch you and knock you out and bring it there myself. Other dude says no you wont, you wont do that. Drunk punches guy, dude makes drunk guy getout of the car then drives off. Drunk guy finds his way back to hotel by bumming ride and then the sober dude is still so pissed he got punched in the face and that the drunk guy berated, belittled and generally messed with him all night that he smashes a bottle over his head a few times (doesnt break)...What do you guys think will happen? Sober dude is 27 w/ no record whatsoever

How so? One guy sues for battery, other guy counter sues for battery. No injuries, no case. As for a criminal case, one guy hits another guy. Its battery. Guy retaliates with a bottle. More severe? Yes, but a judge will have little sympathy for a drunk asshole who threw the first punch. I like a little reasoning when I am told I am wrong, genius.
In post #10 you said if there are no inuries then nothing will happen correct? If a guy gets punched and there are no injuries and the cops are called the aggressor will be arrested. If a guy spits in the face of another there will be an arrest (no injuries of course). There are plenty of instences where an assault and arrest will occur without injuries.
Cops came right after he did it, they were up the street and heard it. Sober dude told cops everything, said he was just pushed around all night. Charged w/ assault w/ deadly weapon and 30k bail. Posted bail with bail bondsman and now trial is set. Im guessing the drunk dude wont cooperate much but who knows.
