Correction 161-1

Blanton will lose a 1-0 game called in the 6th inning due to rain.

I wouldn't touch it.

Lineup is below average.

Bullpen is average.

Two injuries to starting pitchers and the team falls apart.

Nothing really stands out for me with season wins this year.

I wouldn't touch it. Agree but not with your reasoning

Lineup is below average. Not true. 2010 numbers -Out of 30 teams: 12th in AVG, SLG, H's; 9th in HR, 8 in RBI, 7 in BB

Bullpen is average. OK

Two injuries to starting pitchers and the team falls apart. Applies to any team in almost any sport

Nothing really stands out for me with season wins this year.

I'm a homer and lean under here. Fact is, if history tells us anything, there will be at least one (more like three) catastrophic injury. While I disagree with the line-up being below average, does it have a problem of being too lefty? Yes.

Our bullpen isn't as bad as it appears. Not great by any means but definitely serviceable. Contrares has found a good home in our pen, still hitting mid-90s with life. Madson is a top set-up guy and Lidge appears to have righted the ship for good (but who the fuck knows with this guy).

Braves will be a scare this year but the rest of the NL East is still weak.

I'd peg my Phils for around 94 wins.

Amazing how an off year for the offense and all of sudden they are below average. When in reality the Phils lineup was considered the best in the league two years ago and not much has changed. Ibanez instead of Burrell is a wash. Polanco instead of Feliz is an improvement. Brown in for Werth is a downgrade. Other then that some guys were just hurt and a had a down year last year, that is all.

This team won the world series just two years ago with offense. Only Cole Hamels was there out of all their aces. They won it easily too.

Howard my be regressing. Utley may as well. Ibanez is usually a .275-15 rock but how long can his body hold up? How fast can Brown progress? Ruiz's season was an anomaly. Rollins is a shell of his former self. There is no RH protection in the line-up.

Can Howard do a .270-40-130 line? Of course. Can Utley go .290-100-25-100-20? Yes, he's a fantastic player. But can Utley also be riddled with injuries and put up .275-55-10-55-5? Yes. Can Howard re-lose his patience and whiff 190+ times again and be a .255 hitter with only 30 HRs? You bet. When the two best hitters on the team may have the biggest question marks...that's not good.

I expect Victorino to get back to a .280-.290 clip and 25-30 SBs but last year he thought he could become a power hitter. Rollins is just too god damn aggressive.

Let me say, being a die-hard Phillies fan, I want them to win 100 games. I want them to 162 games. I want a WS title. But I'm also a realist and these are very real concerns. Do I hope they get shattered and each player belts 30 homers and hits .300? Yup.

Sure like their starters...........as anyone with half a bulb would. But that total is high, an injury or two could derail them. I just don't touch stuff over 93-94 as a rule.

I'm sticking with this ^ although I strongly believe we need to make a move for a starting left fielder by the trade deadline. I love Raul but he's too big of a liability.
