there's enough time left for the team you wagered on for one last possession. You need them to score and they just kill the clock down to the last 2 or 3 secs to only take a terrible terrible shot that doesn't even come close. This is mostly college level.

I have had that happen to me several times this week. Driving me insane. I literally wish the made teleporter tv's so I could get to that player on the way to the locker room.:boxer:

Only a few coaches seem to have their players on final possessions prepared to run actual set plays. ##)

Hell yeah...I am amazed how often it comes down to one shot at the end of the half. At the end of the game also, of course, but it seems to happen a lot more in the 1st half especially at the college level like you said...happened to me so many times this season, I don't even watch or listen to it anymore.

Yep ...it's gotten to the point where it's predictable.

The funny thing is that they often have a timeout before this too. You'd think the coach would have actual plays drawn up for this situation to practice execution should it come up at the end of a game. Usually the point guard dribbles the ball just across the half court line and waits until there are about 10-12 seconds left. He then throws a pass to a guy who obviously wants no part of shooting, who then throws another pass that is either stolen or forces a horrible forced fall away shot at the buzzer. It seems as if they coach mostly to kill the clock...God forbid the other team gets the ball back with 5.2 seconds left having to go full court.
