What do you think that means? Nets better deal him just like the Nugs just did with Melo. That statement tells me he's gone no questions asked.

I hate the NBA.

I'm not positive, but I think there are rules that put limitations on what can be offered to a player during the season and that those limitations go away once the season ends.

Deron Williams isn't going to resign with NJ, just like Dwight Howard probably isn't going to resign with Orlando.

They have to find a way to stop letting these players jump around from team to team anytime they feel like it.......

But he said the end of next year. It had nothing to do with July 18th. He's basically saying I don't want to talk about staying here or not staying here in NJ which means he'll just hold them hostage.

theres nothing wrong with leaving your team after your contract is up. its called free agency.

and this whole thing is overplayed by lebron and melo.

the majority of upper tier players resigned with their team. brandon roy, kevin durant, dirk nowitzki, rudy gay, joe johnson, paul pierce etc.

people just act stupid and crazy after lebron and think of it as an epidemic.

also people buy the media pushing these expiring deals since they know it sells.

also made a comment like "I would be lying if I said I was a little nervous when I heard I was traded to a team with 17 wins" lol. no way he resigns. after Melo and Lebron rejected them its going to be really hard for them to get anyone or keeping players. unless Deron magically resigns and breaks the cycle. until than since Melo n Bron were too good for NJ so will every one else be.

Yeah, no shit dude but he should give them the common courtesy of saying he won't sign with them next year so they can make other plans.

what if he doesnt know? what if he wants to see how things go first?

why burn a bridge when i might end up wanting to stay. it would be stupid to say i want out now.

if deron keeps his mouth shut, plays out his contract and leaves, it's fine right?

but if he responds to a question, and gives a hint that he is unsure, or wait until next year is over, then its holding the team hostage right?

makes no sense. if he stays, plays out the contract, and leaves, is that holding a team hostage? or is it just after he says he wants to wait until next season? either way the possibility looms he will be leaving whether he talks about it in public or doesnt say anything about it.

its as if you want him to say sign me up without thinking about other options down the road. that is not realistic thinking enfuego. this is business.
