That's my opinion. This is the 15 minute medley that Mott The Hoople closed their set with for their shows in the 2nd half of 1973. They were voted the number 1 band in 1973 by Creem magazine readers. Here's the evidence supporting that ranking...

Great time period for Mott The Hoople. Their Mott album is a classic. I wore out two 8 track tapes of that album back in my cruisin' days.

I wore this track out (LP, not 8-track). My favorite number from the Mott album is "Ballad of Mott The Hoople".
