I thought long on it and no real baseball movie jumps out at ya. Its like these win by default

wasnt there an old movie where some guy played Lou Gherig and gave that Luckiest Man on the Face of the Earth" speech

I chose bad news bears..it may be cheesy as hell today but its the only one on the list I went to see at the movies as a kid. It was big in its day

Voted for the movie titled "Something Else".

Did that because my favorite baseball movie isn't listed. That movie would be "Bang The Drum Slowly" (featuring a young Robert De Niro). De Niro was also in one of the worst baseball movies ever made, "The Fan".

Voted for something else

The Pride Of the Yankees ... Gary Cooper, Theresa Wright and Babe Ruth

A little hokey at times but Gary Cooper is perfect as Lou Gehrig

I also like the Barry Pepper flick about the home run chase (*61?)

Does the Sandlot count, also a good one.

I herd that as well, Charlie Sheen is pushing hard for it....If in fact it did happen, i wonder what kind of story line they would come up with
