Another group includes former Mets manager Bobby Valentine, who has joined forces with Anthony Scaramucci, general manager of asset manager SkyBridge Capital, in hopes of purchasing a share of the club. Valentine, 60, compiled more than 1,100 wins during 15 seasons as a Major League skipper with the Rangers and the Mets, and led New York to the 2000 World Series. After being dismissed by the Mets in 2002, he managed in Japan for several seasons. Valentine currently works as an analyst for ESPN.
