Washington State basketball star Klay Thompson was cited for suspicion of marijuana possession after the team's victory over Southern Cal.
Thompson is the leading scorer in the Pacific-10 Conference, and it is unclear if he will play in Saturday's game against UCLA.
Pullman Police Commander Chris Tennant said an officer pulled over Thompson's vehicle about 11 p.m. Thursday night for having a headlight out and then smelled marijuana. Tennant said Thompson was alone in the vehicle. Tennant says a search of the vehicle found 1.95 grams of suspected marijuana.
Thompson was given a citation at the scene for possession, a misdemeanor, and released. A court date has not been set.
