It is being reported in various news sources that former (and disgraced) MLB player Pete Rose has filed for divorce from his second wife, Carol.
The 69-year-old Rose cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Rose and wife No. 2 have been married for 27 years; meeting when Rose played for the Philadelphia Phillies. At the time, she was a cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles.
According to his court papers which were filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Rose listed the date of separation as “to be determined.”
The couple has no minor children, and the papers stated that property rights will be decided at a later time.
He stated, however, that he is willing to pay spousal support but wants to be awarded all memorabilia he acquired before the marriage.
He also wants his wife to pay her own attorney costs.
Rose is currently dating model Kiana Kim and even went so far as to mention her and brag about their sex lives during his appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show in 2009.
