OT: My Washing Machine Won't Drain Or Spin .

Just stopped while I was washing clothes.It will go through all the other cycles but when it gets to the drain and spin cycle ..it does nothing at all.Any Suggestions or advice? TIA

It wont spin if it wont drain , check and see if its plugged up somewhere in the hose and outlets.

Start bailing! Sounds like something clogged in the hoses. Do you have an on/off switch by the hoses? Make sure that wasn't flipped by mistake. Good luck!

Thanks,I pulled off the back hose and drained it out.The water seemed to come out fine except it will not go up the hose.I checked the hose and it was not clogged.

Might not be level.
hmm.possible,I pulled out the washing machine and there is a slight dip on the back right of the machine.It is level where I moved it to though and it still wouldnt drain.

Checked for clogs,didnt seem to be any.I will now go check for a switch.

I had the same problem. On the lid there is a little piece of plastic that trips a switch when the lid is closed.
For whatever reason it stopped tripping the switch when the lid was closed so now I have to push the lid down in one corner till I hear a click and then it works fine.

Thanks.Couldnt find one of those on mine.I did try pushing down on the corners though and nothing.I have to go out for awhile so I cant mess with anymore for now,Thanks for all the help though.
BTW. It is an older moldel Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series

Mine is a Kenmore 80 series. Would fill with water, wash cycle was fine and then one day it just stopped and wouldn't drain after the wash cycle. As long as the lid "clicks" when I close it it works fine.
